Our last month in the desert for a while, we started with a quick trip to Tahoe to catch up on winterizing the cabin. We intended to ski, but the weird winter was off and running. We'd had record snow in October, then weather too warm all through November and early December, delaying the opening of the ski resorts. After a few holiday gatherings back in the desert we handed over our home to our snowbird renter for the high season. We headed to the bay area for a while. The crazy winter got crazier, with massive blizzards and record setting snow at Tahoe. Folks couldn't get in or out, and the ski resorts lost lots of days of business due to too much snow to manage.
