With a few days left on my one year China visa it made sense to make a quick visit while in Asia. Shanghai is so big that each time I visit I discover something new I have not seen or done before. I even managed to get on a Chinese tourist day bus trip to Xitang, one of several ancient water towns near Shanghai and Suzhou. The tour was in Chinese and I don't speak Chinese, but it was fun anyway. Hangzhou was my second stop. A big city, but on a beautiful lake with lots of hills surrounding it. Easy to rent bikes and go anywhere in town.
